Climate-Resilient Water Development

Climate variability presents increasing challenges to rural water security.

RWDF-Liberia therefore seeks to incorporate climate resilience into the planning and implementation of its programmes.

Priority interventions include:

• Climate-resilient boreholes;
• Solar-powered pumping;
• Rainwater harvesting;
• Drought-resilient storage;
• Watershed protection;
• Catchment restoration;
• Flood protection around water infrastructure;
• Erosion and sediment-control measures;
• Efficient water-use technologies; and
• Renewable-energy integration.
