Rural Water Supply Development

RWDF-Liberia supports the identification, planning, financing, construction and rehabilitation of rural water-supply systems.

Projects may include:

• Mechanized boreholes;
• Hand-pump boreholes;
• Protected wells;
• Spring-water development;
• Solar-powered pumping systems;
• Elevated water-storage tanks;
• Ground-level reservoirs;
• Raw-water storage facilities;
• Community standpipes;
• Water-distribution networks;
• Transmission pipelines;
• Water-treatment systems; and
• Rehabilitation of existing water infrastructure.
